    据悉,国家广电总局给各地下了一份通知,6月份将是一个分水岭,此前各地广电部门在数字电视方面的转换将得到国家数十亿资金的扶持,而过了6月份将自己买单。

    “包括手机电视在内的移动多媒体也要统一标准,要统一格式,不能一个城市一个标准;另外,要能向下兼容。”

    2006.5.17-网通的IPTV日?!

    新浪今天的这条新闻,值得看看: 网通牵手央视抢滩网络电视 IPTV电信日狂飙 . serveral points here:
    1. 网通拟扩容到4M以上
    2. 中兴中标北京网通
    3. CCTV.com与中视网络合并后的新公司,更有可能拿到第二张IPTV牌照,而央视公众将会偏向数字电视

    其中提到中国的有排名第二的''算盘'',被咱改良过;第三的''指南针'',咱发明的;第四的''铅笔'',被染成黄色(代表皇室尊贵)是为了广而告之其笔心是采用了高质量的咱的石墨制成的.第七的''步枪'',当然少不了咱发明的火药...算了,不说了,剩下的自己看吧.

    Travel.

    Accept certain inalienable truths: prices will rise, politicians will philander, you too will get old; and when you do, you'll fantasize that when you were young, prices were reasonable, politicians were noble, and children respected their elders.

    Respect your elders.

    Don't expect anyone else to support you.  Maybe you have a trust fund, maybe you'll have a wealthy spouse, but you never know when either one might run out.

    Don't mess too much with your hair or by the time you are 40, it will look 85.

    Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it.  Advice is a form of nostalgia; dispensing it is a way of wishing the past from the disposal--wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts, and recycling it for more than it's worth.

    But trust me, I'm the sunscreen.

    Google式的测试

    至于这个变化(待验证),仅仅是出于易用性的考虑,还是综合商业利益而作出的调整,此处不作研究。倒是从中透露出的Google的测试,有些意思,值得一说。

    这个页面有人看到,有人没看到,说明Google确实是按某种规则挑选客户端,进而呈现这个测试页面的。而这些看到的人,又都是一般的普通用户,并非Google的“内定人士”。那么这样做,有什么好处呢?我觉得有以下几条(按重要性排列):

    1。充分利用人们的好奇心理,达到对Google保持持续关注的目的
    2。观察网络上的讨论,收集真正的用户反馈,以便及时调整优化
    3。保持Google式Style,强化其品牌的Image
    4。这种方式的“预热”,到也能降低正式上线时的市场和营销开支
    5。这种测试,似乎比普通意义上的内部测试,更客观,更有价值

    当然,也不是什么产品,任何公司,都可以进行这种Google式的测试。毕竟,“具体问题,还得具体分析”。但,起码,还是有一些借鉴意义的,我想。

    不要让"需求"阻滞你前进的脚步!

    今天仔细拜读了First Rule of Usability? Don't Listen to Users,结合以前写的提供多的,还是提供少的,"用户需求"做了一些思考,成文,请大家指正. 

    需要指出的是,本文并非致力于否定"需求"对产品提供者的价值,事实上,笔者也认为:需求与产品,正如"皮之不存,毛将焉附"中的"""",失去了需求的产品,也就没有了存在的价值和意义. 本文只是试图从另一个角度来审视"用户需求",以期能对产品提供者有所启示和帮助. 

     

    首先,用户的需求具有"模糊性"的特点.

    通常,用户并不能把她的需求,精准的表达出来.这一方面,是限于用户对自己需求的发掘和认知程度.另一方面,也限于用户对需求的归纳和表达能力(当然,未必了解相关的领域知识,也是一个原因). 

    举个例子,你想买件牛仔裤,那么,在进商店之前,你能精确说出你到底需要一条什么样的牛仔裤吗? 衡量标准是,导购能在听了你的阐述后给你拿出一件完全符合要求的裤子(假定导购足够聪明,足够专业,并且,库藏足够丰富). 我想,大部分人未必能够 

    这种情况下,如果你准备做服装,那么我想只要你确认有人需要牛仔裤,就可以开干了.而不是,一直等到调查清楚,用户到底需要什么款式的牛仔裤后才动手.尽量早的把裤子摆在消费者面前,才是最终要的.因为,那才是了解用户真正反馈的一条有效途径.

     

    另外,用户在"需求",还存在不确定性.

    现在,用户面临的产品越来越多,"诱惑"越来越多,这种情况下,即便用户最初目标性很强,但在选择过程中,仍可能偏离原来的初衷,而转换目标,变更需求.原因可能很多种,但我认为最终要的是"新目标"更诱人.还是来个例子吧. 

    周日,你本来是想到商店想买双运动鞋,打球穿的.但在挑选过程中,却意外发现一条牛仔裤,款式价格都不错,试穿效果也满意,还很舒服,你会不会买下来? 也许目标性很强的人不会,但我相信,一定有人会,而且是大多数人.

    这个时候,你还关心他最初是来买鞋的吗? 当然不! 因为,最重要的,是正穿着你生产的牛仔裤! 而他为什么选择你的牛仔裤这一"新目标"呢?显然,是它的综合质量(款式/价格/做工等)赢得了消费者的心. 

     

    综上所述,如果你是产品提供者,在掌握了""的需求(影响方向和策略),不妨把主要的时间/精力/资源用在提高产品质量上,而不是继续一味的需求调研.因为,只有提供了真正优质的产品,才能最终赢得用户, whether intendedly or not.

    Firefox也IPTV了

    生产IPTV STB的AminoFirefox达成了Deal,占浏览器市场13%的Firefox会被port到Amino的软件中,以完全不同于当前web用户体验的完整电视界面,出现在用户面前。时间是在2006 Q3。

    Firefox选择以目前很火的IPTV为突破口,杀入未来非常广阔的嵌入市场,体现了Mozilla Foundation的Vision。

    祝福小狐狸,也期待2.0的早日发布。

    “猪都笑了”

    音乐做得不错,我非常喜欢,以至于为了突出它把Space的Layout都调整了,而且Windows Media Player还变成了“自动播放”,以及Full模式.
     
     
     双击全屏收看,放大音量,效果更佳 (Y)

    “自动播放”已被Disable。

    升级到IE 7了

    升级很简单,下载包11M多一些。需要重启。
     
    默认字体作了调整,在英文版Xp SP2上浏览的视觉效果很不错,我很喜欢。贴张图看看吧。
     
    至于功能,基本上没有什么特别的,什么自动查找Feed,什么Tab等,Firefox早就有了。网上的试用报告不少,就不多说了。
     
    最大的缺点,目前我发现的就是:内存占用超大!
    随便开了三个Tab,就耗掉了116M!想想我的小狐狸到七八十兆时,就觉得不少不少的了,没想到IE7一上来就。。。微软就是微软阿,强!怪不得号称Vista要2-3G的内存呢.
     
    至于你升不升,自己看着办吧

    因需要已退回到IE6了,方法直接通过“控制面板”就可以了。
    还有一个意外发现:IE7视觉效果好,是因为采用了ClearType技术。也刚好发现有个Powertoy:ClearType Tuner(点击下载),装上一试,果然。
